Back-to-School in Japan with a Bridging Scholar

William is a Bridging Foundation scholar who recently arrived in Japan for a year of study abroad at Akita International University. Here's an excerpt from his blog:  “I’d like to speculate that if there is to be world peace, I expect students who have studied abroad to be the leaders of this movement. Living in another country goes a long way to developing an appreciation for other cultures as well as one’s own. While the differences are noticeable, I believe it is also possible to observe fundamental characteristics which link us all together.”
