Kevin Suggs- Fall 2022
Thank you so much for supporting my study abroad experience in Japan! This opportunity means a lot to me as it was my dream since I started college. Since being in Japan, I've had the pleasure of participating in many cultural events, meeting many people, and going to many places. I plan to continue building on these experiences during my time at Kyushu University as well as next semester where I will have an internship with Shimadzu in Kyoto. One thing that I think you would like to hear is that I've already been connected to the U.S. Consulate of Fukuoka and recently met with Rahm Emanuel, the U.S. Ambassador in Japan. The U.S. Consulate plans to reach out to Japanese students around January/February and they'll be contacting me to help out with the events they will host so we can deepen the bond between Japan and America.
Japan has been such a life-changing experience for me already and I can't thank you enough for your support.
Sincerely,
Kevin Suggs
P.S. I recently went to Nagasaki to learn some history and today I got to wear a traditional Kimono!
