(November 14, 2015) On November 1, 1990, Kagoshima City and Miami, FL entered a Sister Cities Pact, building a tangible network of friends through youth exchange programs and strengthening the U.S.-Japan relationship. To commemorate the Miami-Kagoshima Sister Cities Pact Anniversary, 20 Friendship Blossoms dogwood trees were planted at the Agricultural Park in Kagoshima City in November 2015.
