Managing Director and Chief Administrative Officer, Morgan Stanley MUFG Securities

David Richards is Managing Director and Chief Administrative Officer at Morgan Stanley MUFG Securities, with responsibility for a variety of functions related to internal company administration, external engagement and advocacy, and firm strategy. He joined Morgan Stanley in 2009. Prior to beginning his current role in 2016, he worked in several areas at Morgan Stanley in New York, including institutional equities, corporate treasury and collateralized financing management. His experience previous to Morgan Stanley includes five years at Citigroup in the institutional equities division in both London and New York, and 11 years at Goldman Sachs, eight of which were in Tokyo where he was an equity analyst covering the Japanese financial industry. A southern California native, he holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California at San Diego and is a CFA® charterholder.
