Head of Government Affairs and Policy for Pharmaceuticals, APAC, Johnson & Johnson
Amy Jackson joined J&J as the Head of Government Affairs and Policy for Pharmaceuticals for the Asia Pacific region in October 2021. At J&J, she works with local, regional, and global teams to coordinate government affairs strategies and activities for individual Asian markets and across the region. Amy currently serves as a Member of the Board of Directors for the Maureen and Mike Mansfield Foundation and the U.S.-Japan Bridging Foundation and previously served as a Vice President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan.
From 2016-2021, Amy was based in Tokyo and served as the Japan Representative for the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) association. For six years before that, she was the President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Korea (AMCHAM Korea). Amy was awarded an Industrial Service Medal by South Korean President Lee Myung-bak in 2012 and was inducted as an honorary citizen of Seoul in 2013.
Prior to joining AMCHAM Korea, Amy was a Director at Crowell & Morning International, a trade and investment consulting firm based in Washington D.C. From 1998-2005, Amy worked at the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR), first serving as the Director of Japanese Affairs and later as the Deputy Assistant USTR for Korea. Prior to that, she worked in the International Relations Division at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Amy was awarded a Mansfield Fellowship in 1995 and spent one year doing intensive language study and one year working in her counterpart government agency in Japan.
Amy has a master’s degree in international relations from Johns Hopkins University and a bachelor’s degree in government from Pomona College. She is married and has a teenager son and daughter and currently lives in Singapore.
